Maybe you can get a card with one of your parent's as a co-signer. Credit is not free money. It needs to be paid back. Many college students leave college with student loan debt and credit card debt. You can establish a good credit history if you use your card sparingly, and pay the balance off in full each month. The worst thing you can do is have revolving debt that continues to accumulate with interest and finance charges. Students who fall behind on their credit card bills often leave college with blemished credit reports, which makes it more difficult for them to rent an apartment, get a car loan or even find a job. When looking for a card, try to find one with low APR, a low credit limit, no annual fee, and one that offers rewards.

You have to evaluate what's available to you and decide which is best based on your own personal situation. Try to avoid cards with annual fees and do not carry a balance over - pay off the card each month. Good luck.
