If i owe Money for a credit card and they send me to collections,can they take out money from my bank account?
Im going to Open a Bank account again and I was wondering if i owe money to credit card company will they be able to deduct money from my bank account? I have already been sent to collections..... I have the intention of paying them back but i have more important bills to pay and i don't want to put in my money into my account and the credit card company taking money from it?

As long it's not the same bank where you owe the money and there is no judgment.

If they first get a court judgment against you, they can garnish bank accounts and paychecks.

They can, but it's not as easy as that. In order to be able to garnish your wages, the credit card company will need to sue you and win. The judge can then order you pay back the debt through wage garnishment. By the way, I would get in front of this now. There are no important bills and unimportant bills. There are just debts. The creditors don't care that you intend to pay them. They just want some money. See if you can settle this.
