Question
Debit card got shut down but I have a refund from it. What to do?
I need to get a refund from my school for a class but the original debit card I used to pay for the semester had to be shut down because someone tried to use my debit card number online. I had to get a new debit card with a different number. But now what do I do in order to receive a refund if my old debit card and old number are no longer active and I have this new card???? The money is to be refunded to my checking account but how do I do that if my old card is no longer active? Help

Normally the bank connects the old number to the new one for the purpose of returns. If you return the item and it is credited on your old account number, the bank will forward it to your new number...I had had this happen to me many times when I had replaced a card. I am sure your bank works the same way. Otherwise, just call to verify. Best wishes!

Call your bank and ask them. Hopefully, as it is a credit, the transaction won't be rejected. I'm sure your bank can advise you.
