Question
How to post complaints on web about apartment complex in Carrollton, Tx?
I am six months into a lease with Parkside Village in Carrollton, Texas, and it has been a nightmare! I found one place called residentsurveys but it is a useless link. The old management was terrible the new management is BH Management Services, Inc., and they are totally unresponsibe. No hot water, toilet and shower are messed up and roaches rule here.

Personally I would go to either the Attorney General, or the better business bureau. Or you can post rants and raves on Craigslist, but beware... you might get flagged!!! But depending on the issues you have with a complex, I personally went through this, and if the property owner(s) are not willing to fix it. As long as your complaints are legit, and violate their duty to be landlord, and the tenant agreement. You can take it to the Attorney general. For instance I had an issue with my complex, they never provided adequate hot water, the security door was never locked/latched because another tenant was putting candy in the hole, their was mold growing in between the window pains, my daughter couldn't sleep in her bedroom because the draft in the winter time was so bad, it came out for under her door, and my Electric/Gas bill was $200 a month. Also they didn't have peep holes on all the doors, and a locking security door, which I found out because of the buildings age violated some State laws. I also had a neighbor that slipped and fell on a patch of ice, I personally called the office about 4 times, and broke his leg... so as long as you have someone else there that witness(es) it you are golden. Your complaints are valid, and should be heard. You can also legally have someone professional come in and complete the tasks and subtract it from your rent, make sure you keep documentation regarding your complaints to management. Good luck! Also I have to agree, the Health Department is another good one to contact. I had another friend who lived in another complex, that she found out through the Health department from the mold in her bathroom, that at one point her apartment was flooded, and there was all this mold under the carpets too.

Posting a complaint on the Web isn't going to change a thing. Where you *should* be complaining is to the Carrollton Board of Health. I'm sure your apartment complex is in violation of state law by not supplying hot water and working toilets to their tenants.

Please contact your local Health department about the insect infestation. Also you may register complains about the hot water and toilet malfunctions - health departments love this stuff.

Contact the county health department. I will look it up for you later. Write your political officials.
