How much would it cost to live in a very small apartment in NEW YORK CITY ? ? ?
If u could, say if the price you out if it would be fro somewhere like brooklyn or manhattan or bronx...etc I really want to move there from australia and i am just wondering on the prices of places there, but it would be a small, small, small apartment because im not rich!!! LIKE I WOULD APPREACIATE IF YOU COULD PUT A PRICE, AREA AND PER MONTH OR PER WEEK ETC!! THANK YOU!!

the best place to stay close to manhattan is journal sq jersey city from journal sq u get direct sybway to manhattan and it cost just 2 $ to go to manhattan . plus journal sq is far cheaper to live as there is no income tax on living in NEW JERSEY also you get homestead rebat as a tenant when you live in new jersey state. the best sit to find a low cost apartment in USA both on share basis and independent is Sulekha.com but on sulekha you get mostly the INDIAN people for white i recomment craiglist.com . Both these sites are excellent source to search a apartment in usa . i have used both of these to search a apartment for me right in new jersey. you can even book a apartment before leaving australia. a apartment on twin sharing basis costs 400$ on single basis upto a 1000$ you will get a independent room a small kitchen a toilet and independent enterance to the condominium .

That depends. Manhattan, you are probably looking at $2500/month and up. You can find lessor expensive flats in the Bronx or Brooklyn, but you will get what you pay for, so be careful.
