This is a dirty way to sell on Ebay. If you noticed the bidders names are set to private, now who cares who knows you are buying an inexpensive mp3 player no one. You usually see this on big ticket items to protect wealthy people from being targeted for spam or scam. His buddies or paid associates are running up the bids so that it will never be sold for $5.00 or less. Can you still get a good deal on it from him, maybe. But it is shady way to get sales. Buyers dont know that its his associates driving up the bids so when they win it for $100 they are thrilled that they won. Its wrong, just set the starting bid to the lowest you will take for it. This method also keeps the ebay fees low as well but if they cant afford to list it properly they shouldnt be selling on ebay. Hope this helps.

Weird i would not buy it just because it is not in the US and it comes from singapore. It is more than likely a knock off.

99 cents is just the beginning bid. When this happens check what the shipping rate is (usually through the roof needlesly). I by pocket bikes off ebay for $10 but the shipping is $180.....no it isn't but the ebay stores think it make them look like thier giving you a good deal.

No it looks legit. However this is a no name brand. I bought an Mp4 off eBay before. Without realising I was bidding in US/ China dollars from Australia its turned out the item wasn't $12 Aus but about $50 Plus delivery tool atleast 2 weeks. Just be careful. It is legit but its worth buying items in your own country.
