Dealing directly with apartment owner's management company?
When I'm dealing directly without a broker, what are some questions I should ask? Is there a way I can find out the owner using the internet and the county office? (State of New York)

You need to go to the County office of Deeds and Records. Odds are the owner is using a management company then the property is listed to a corporation.
