Credit card debt was sold to another company after I sent certified letter?
asking for settlement. They called my cell and I thought it was someone else. They said they sent me a verification letter which I dod not get and she said they do not have to send me another one. Is this true? What do I do?

1. The credit card company does not have to accept your settlement offer. 2. If they cannot validate the debt, they don't have to send you a validation letter. However, without validation, they have no legal claim to the debt. 3. They sold the debt. The new owner may still try to collect. Send the new owner a debt validation letter. Tell the new owner not to contact you and to cease all collection efforts until the debt is validated.
