There are the state-specific licensing exams and then the certification exams for licensees such as the GRI and ABR. Most of the Real Estate graduate studies programs will be out of the Finance departments at the schools of Business of universities. As an example, my university has several programs: MBA in Real Estate Finance, MS in Finance with a Real Estate Concentration, and MS in Construction Science and Management. As for your "well-known" criteria there quite a few lists ranking universities. You will have to decide what you value most … number of students graduated in a particular area who have jobs or most research articles published in high ranking journals.

There are no nationwide exams. You have to qualify in your particular state, and you have to take the state's approved real estate courses. These are often offered through adult ed at the local high school.

at least 25 Us have grad studies that you seek. YOU did not indicate why you would want one but they are out there. www ... ---be careful of becoming a "professional student" --different than being a student of a profession.

My suggestion is to work in the real property department of a major bank. This would allow you to learn while gaining experience in the flied. Also because you are an employee any classes you take can be reimbursed by your employer.
