Question

I'm really smart and hard-working, and I'd like to eventually open up my own business.?

I'm going to be a junior in high school, I take all enriched classes and get A's and B's. I was originally thinking about working in the medical field because that is one field where I think you can really use a lot of your potential. But I don't know if it's just my age, but ever since I can remember, I have always been the creative, artsy one, and I think I'd be a lot happier working in a career where I can use my true passion and talents. Medicine is mostly going by the book, I want to do something where I can be creative. I know that the entrepreneur idea is much more risky, but in the long run, if you're successful, you can end up making muuuch more than the average doctor. I'd like to open a sort of bohemian clothing/accessories/art shop, perhaps in California? I have great taste, and I can picture myself having a very successful business. Any tips, advice, help would be great! I'm only a junior, so some steps on how to become a successful entrepreneur/business woman would be great as well. Thanks!

One tip is don't come across sounding so conceited. Like by saying things like -"I'm really smart." "I have great taste" Success comes with a little humility. Try some of that first or stay with the, I'm so great attitude! and you will fit right in the med field!
