Question
I need a $300,000.00 loan for housing expenses. What agencies would be most likely to grant said loan?
I currently am in a sticky spot. To simplify, I have a house in one city which I need to sell. However that house still needs my crap moved out of it. The city I am moving to is 2 hours away. My previous home, which I wish to move back to, has been severely vandalized, holes in walls, no wiring *it was ripped out at the behest of a local landlord*, busted water pipes, etc. I am currently renting from a friend. The house we are renting has been offered to us, and would certainly solve some problems. The current owners of said house are about to move to Micronesia, in less than 2 months, and would like their house to no longer be their house before then. It's a catch=22 situation. Estimated costs, by me, would be covered by $300,000.00. That would be enough to move ALL personal items, en mass, from House A, and put them in storage, down to the city I'm in now. Once that is done, I can sell house A, and should get, at least, $130,000.00 for it. House B *the one owned by the friends* should be sold for less than $100,000.00. Once we actually Own said house, we will then place storage buildings on the premises, and no longer have the costs of renting storage units. Once we are fully moved to House B, I can spend the $40,000.? to refurbish House C. The Ultimate goal is to no longer have house A, and the expenses that come with both the house, and the constant travel back and forth to the city it's in. Then we wish to, most likely, rent out house B, which should bring in much more than enough to cover the costs of B and C. We would live in C. At the most, the loan would need to be for a 25 year period. I base this on $1,000.00 per month payments. The bulk of the loan should be repayable with in 12 months of the original loan date. So, after all of those complicated/boring details, my query is, what kind of lending institution, if any, is more likely to work with me on this kind of loan??

It's highly doubtful you'd get that large of a loan for anything other than the purchase of a home worth more than that. You & your friends should be able to rent a Uhaul & move all your stuff to your new location cheaply. Then you should be able to sell that house. Your best bet is to take it one step at a time. It sounds like you're trying to do everything all at once. Good luck.
