All of the places you mention very likely pay only the legal state minimum wage to new employees with no experience, at least if you're talking about basic positions such as cashier or stock clerk. Minimum wage varies by state. You'd have to look up what that is in your own state. (I'm assuming you live somewhere in the U.S.)
