Question

Where can I sell my unused insurance leads?

I'm a part-time life and health insurance broker. I have unused insurance leads (for both life and health) that I want to sell. Since I sell so few life and health policies (I do mostly group sales) I'm not even sure what kind of web-board or forum I could utilize to sell them. Please advise

If your leads are more than 3 days old, I would suggest try selling them on Craigslist at a very, very low price. Insurance leads must be "hot off the press" before an agent buys them due to the fact the same leads are typically sold to so many other agents.

Since it's really hard to verify the value of leads you'll have a very hard time selling them to anyone. Your best bet is to look for another broker that you can trade leads with.

You're going to run into two issues here, first of all, how is any buyer going to know the lead hasn't been called? And normally, leads are pretty darned cheap anyway. But check with your local agent association - see if you can put an ad in your local agent magazine/newsletter.
