How to make extra money on the side?
Star this as interesting (plz)! I want to start a cleaning business for extra money...where do I start? I am a mother of 2 boys ages three and seven. My three year old is disabled. My fiance works and I do part time. I am also enrolled in college ONLINE majoring in psychology (full time student), so I am super busy. We do NOT have enough money so I want to start a side cleaning business. I want to do yard work and clean people's houses and do yard and gardening work. How do I go about doing this? If this was you what would you do first? This is a serious question because there are children involved so please don't be ignorant. Times are rough and we are dam* near loosing our home. Start knocking on doors. Start from home and walk down the street knocking on everybody's door to see if they need some work done. Once you do one or two, ask if you can use them as recommendations. Be sure to ask each person if they know somebody else who might be able to use your services. Focus in on something everybody hates to do - washing windows. Offer a window washing service ... if they say no, then offer something else.... Windows washed? No thanks. Do you need a spring clean for your yard? Already done. How about some maintenance gardening? Love to do it myself. I have a special this week on 3 hours of house-cleaning for the price I regularly charged for 2. Would that interest you - I can schedule you in for Saturday afternoon - or maybe another time is better for you? You can also drop flyers in mailboxes or put posters up on telephone poles. Call everyone you know and ask if they know someone who needs work done.
