How do I get a first time home buyer grant?
my husband and I are looking at buying our first house, but we are having problems coming up with the down payment. Does anyone know how we can get a government grant to help pay for the down payment. We found a house that we really like and would like to buy it but they require a 25,000 down payment. Does anyone know any state programs that can help with this.

There are no tax payer grants for down payments. Did you really think you were paying for other peoples property all these years? You weren't, people buy their own houses.
