Question

Do I make an appointment with a bank for a loan?

Do I call and make an appointment with a bank for a small business loan or do I just walk in and tell them I would like to apply for a small business loan?

You can do either. The advantage of making an appointment is that you will secure a time to talk to someone and know they will be there. If you just walk in, the person who handles those types of loans may be at lunch, in a meeting, out or busy when you walk in.

You don't have to make an appointment, you can just walk in and fill out their application. Now since every business loan has its own little circumstances, i recommend seeing the loan officer, who can help you put the right answers in the application and avoid misunderstanding. Good luck!
