physical mailing address
Question
assigning street address to piece of property?
I currently reside in New Jersey. If I were to buy a parcel of land in Nevada and not build anything on it, is there any way that I would be able to get a physical mailing address assigned to this property?? I've tried calling various city, county, and state offices and no one seems to know. If anyone has any info. on this that would be great because I really want to know if there is a way I could do this.. Thanks!!

No, someone has to reside on the land. Addresses are for receiving mail.

I believe you need to have a dwelling on your parcel to have an address associated with it. Otherwise, it is just a parcel, and the lot and block, or parcel ID in some states prevails. Try phoning the zoning officer in the municipality where the parcel is located. He or She might be able to further direct you.
