Question

Will freezing a credit card in the freezer damage the reader strip?

If you freeze a card in ice in the freezer. Will it damage the card if you thaw it out?

No, but if you do get impulsive and decide that you need the credit card right now for something and microwave it to melt the ice, that will mess the strip up.

No, the strips are remarkably tough.

I don't see why it would. That information is recorded magnetically, and magnetism isn't affected by temperature changes like that. Though, I think the bigger question is why the hell would you WANT to do that in the first place??
