They are real, BUT in working with a coach it must be a person you trust and can work with. So whilst the system and the approach and the company are perfectly legit, if you think the person himself is dodgy, then dont work with them. Coaching is hugely valuable and a good coaching relationship will more than pay for itself now and into the future. But you MUST have someone you can work with, or you will be pouring money down the drain. Whatever the requirement for coaching, you receive the benefits of someone focusing wholly on you and the opportunity to think clearly about what you want to achieve and where you want to go, with no interruptions or judgement. You benefit from a programme of tailored sessions with your coach who will help you to achieve your key goals and ambitions. The challenging yet supportive style of your coach will allow you to open your mind to new and positive changes in thinking and behaviour. The impact of coaching can lead to some outstanding results for both the individual and organisation. Some of the highlights achieved from coaching relationships I have had with my clients include: Individual benefits * encourages more open communication, chops away at persistent problems and encourages staff to take responsibility for themselves * can increase productivity, influencing style, confidence, improved self-awareness and enhanced decision making * can help to deal with stress, conflict resolution, change and work/life balance issues * encourages learning and continuing professional development. Team benefits * clarifies individual roles and chared objectives * further develops team motivation * improves communication within the team. Organisational * stimulates strategic awareness * develops leadership behaviours and potential * encourages learning and innovation * can aid the process of succession planning and encourage retention within the organisation * can enhance bottom line performance For an organisation investing in coaching you can expect more productive employees, improved communciation and a healthier and happier workforce
