Question
The future for gen x and y markets.?
This might seem a stupid question but i had it mind and can't get over it without an answer to it. I was just wondering, currently consumers are classified into three generations, X, Y, and Baby boomers. and different marketing efforts are targeted at different generations. Since each generation is different when it comes to consumption and factors affecting decision making and etc. What will happen in the future, say the Gen X and baby boomers die out and only Gen y and their proceeding generations are left, what would happen to those market specifically targeted Gen x and baby boomers?\

There's Baby-Boomers (now in their late 50's mostly), gen-x (mostly in their 30's now) and millenials (mostly tweens now)... Gen Y is between X and millenials... Anyway, to answer your question... everyone focusing on the baby boomers will still get business when the gen-x people get old enough and they will also likely "freshen up" their marketing when that starts to happen so they can draw in a larger consumer-base too.
