Advice on Saving for First Apartment Needed!!!?

I currently live with my mom in Atlanta, GA and am expecting a baby on May 16th. I will not be 18 until September. I'm trying to create a savings plan for hopefully renting my first apartment by January 2010. If I were to start working in late July or early August how much should I be saving and what type of job should I be seeking to live decently in the Atlanta area? I'm not necessarily in a rush so January isn't a must, I just believe it's time to start working on being independent being that I have my own family to take care of now. Please give me USEFUL advise on how to go about saving and making this happen. Thanks in advance!

our you married ?if not that is the FIRST thing you need to do !then you & your husband needs to set down talk about how you & him is go in to raise your baby, then think about Your and apartment.THERE is more to bring up a child than having an apartment how about food,dippers,milk,rent,cable,electric,gas,water,etc
