Question

Line of Credit/Credit Card?

I was hoping my bank would increase my line of credit by $3,000 so I could purchase some new DJing equipment, but this morning I found out they shot me down. The reason I got shot down was because when I applied I only had about $60 in my account (it's pay day today - rolls eyes a bit), and because my student loan is on interest relief because I had lost my job back in November (I've found another well paying one since - thank god). Anyway. I'm wondering if I applied for a new credit card or something if I'd get the same answer. Or would it depend on who I was applying with? I'm Canadian, so I'm not sure if that changes the rules, or if certain banks are easier than others to obtain credit from.

Sounds like you need to resume normal payments on your student loans. If you're still receiving hardship assitance with that, then you should not expect to borrow more money until your hardship is over.

I would search for credit cards that don't require you to have good credit to be approved. Here's a good site for you: thegreatest ...
