Like many other companies, some are just out to take your money and others are legitimate. Unless you are truly one of a kind, almost all models have to build a portfolio which includes expensive photo shoots. Some companies will do this for you if they feel they can get you a contract and others will charge you. Your best bet is to research as much as you can about them before making any payments or enrolling in any programs. Here is a link to a modeling agency that does not charge a fee and are well known in the industry. I am not promoting them , just offering this link as something for you to read about. www ... Hope this helps.

No, it's not safe. A legit agency would not need you to pay them up front. A legit agency will take a percentage of all the work they actually get for you. So you are only "paying them" if you get paying work. Then they take a cut for brokering the job for you.

if theyre asking for u to pay for anything i wudnt trust them. genuine, good model agencies usually wud never ask u to pay to join. dont do it.

don`t touch them with a barge pole. Any good agency will not ask for money upfront. They get their money from the client or they take a cut of your earnings. You probably find that if you give them money you won`t get any work

Don't trust them. If the contract was legitimate, you would be paying out of your salary, not up front.

If they are seriously interested in you as a model they would not be wanting money up front. By the way, the photoshoot will invariably cost around $500 once they get your money for the contract.

A legitimate agency does not charge you ANYTHING out of pocket to be a model. You do not pay a registration fee or pay for your own photo shoots. The agency should cover these expenses, then cover these costs by booking you on jobs and taking a 10-20% commission from your earnings. Most agencies will charge you a higher commission either for your first years or until you have booked a certain amount of jobs to cover the cost of producing your comp cards, etc Any agency trying to charge you any money out of pocket is scamming you
