sample business plans
Question
I want to set up a sandwich business?
Well the plan is, set up one shop, and cater for business lunches and breakfast, preferably do a deal with 4 or 5 businesses. Then set up more branches, get people interested by giving them samples! And it will be a LTD business! How much do you think it will be to start a sandwich business where we sell a variety of sandwiches, baguettes, drinks and crisps Well I didnt want to write the city because some people may not know where im talking about! But it will be in London!

I and several others answered a similar question a couple of days ago. No need to have a LTD company, never worth it for so little. You will need money for premises, health inspections, insurance, visits from trading standards, a current Health/Safety/Hygiene certificate, a knowledge of Temperature control and HACCAP, an Accountant, a business bank account. You need to register as self employed 28 days before trading. You will need to know about business leases, profit and loss, gross profit etc etc. Before you go any further have a word with your local businesslink.

First you have to have the right location, intrest (see if you can get local buissness's intrested in a desk to desk service.) we all like to have our favourite sandwich shop in town too so you need to see what that is like and get some ideas from it. Ask people who are in the buissness.

do market research in areas you are thinking of setting up a business also do questionnaires as they are the most reliable dont think you would make much money in the sandwich market why dont you go for the mobile shop were you cater for large organisations like an ice cream van but with food etc seen only one ever the employees use them because they dont have to walk into town or werever to get something to eat plus you dont have to pay major bill like you would do in a shop london = very dear

Bad idea nearly every shop already sell their own sandwich's and truth be known who cares about food on the go ? Why not visit local stores and offer to provide them with fresh sandwiches every day at £1 per sandwich , the shop can then sell them for £2 a go making a 100% profit with no effort . It may seem like a raw deal but you don't then have to pay high street rental and instead of selling 100 sandwiches a day from your own outlet at 50% profit you will sell 500 a day at 100% profit . It is easy to let our ideals run away with us but money talks so let it be the boss .
