Question

BBC do you think that the intergirty of this corporation is sadly lacking?

uk ... It appears to me to be the case as another one of their presenters makes a Faux Pas. Do they not give guidelines to these presenters to which they must adhere to or are they given Carte Blanche when interviewing. I wonder how Clare Balding would have reacted if she had been asked about her sexual persuasion.

I don't think that the BBC can do anything about what their employee's choose to do/say with regards to live tv. They can reprimand them after the act, however there has to be a great degree of trust. We are all human, she made what she thought was a funny comment, sadly she was wrong. He has accepted her apology so there is no point dwelling on the past. With regards to 'Sachsgate' there was very little the BBC could have done when Brand's company was producing (and editing) the show. They could have sacked Jonathan Ross, however he draws a huge audience, and he is known for courting controversy. But you have to look at some of the brilliant shows which the BBC offers, just look at Yellowstone and other such documentaries. In my opinion it is still a national institution which has done more for the UK that any other group/channel could (e.g. C4 and Five).
