What is your service or product? Why should people buy from you now? What problem will it solve for them? Any contact with customers old or new needs to demonstrate what's in it for them. Bring out the benefits for them in your message, not features. "As someone who has bought a xxx system from us, we wanted you to be the first to know that until the end of March extra xxxx's for it are available at 15% discount." "It has been some time since you bought your xxx. There's now a xxx accessory that will improve its performance threefold." If you're in a service industry, you can still use similar messages. Someone who's a holistic practitioner might invite former clients to make themselves feel good in these unsettled times by having a treatment or series of treatments. A business consultant might offer a business health check to find out how to get more out of their resources. Good luck!

Take some good phrases / ideas from these. Dear XXXXX It's been sometime since we were in contact, so I thought I would update you on some new products and designs that we are excited about for the coming months. Dear XXXXX The current financial problems are always in the news, and we want you to know that we value all customers old and new. I will be ringing around in a few days to update you on some of our new lines ready for March ordering. Dear XXXX We are planning a brochure mailing in the coming weeks and I want to make sure that we have the correct contact details for you. Hope this helps
