Keep up with Dave's plan. We have paid off (so far) $47,000 and paid cash for grad school and had a few emergencies. BTW- cool blog. I like thinking of our debt as zombies all they do is suck the life out you and so does debt. Without the house, we are now down to 5 figure debt...that feels good. I love seeing the progress and each time we tick of another $10k we celebrate and raise a cocktail...at home it's cheaper :-) Maybe you and your fiance should go to FPU together and she would have a better understanding.

i refinanced my home two times and so it was paid off two times and it was great. i felt great. that is why you are to be careful when doing this stuff it was great feeling and i would do it again.

We paid off $150,000 when we sold our old house. However, the new house cost over 3 times that, so I don't know if it really counts. LOL. Good Luck with everything.
