Question

Does Microsoft care about consumers? (Esp. Xbox consumers?)?

have an Xbox 360, and it is such a pain. I am talking specifically about Xbox LIVE. I mean come on, the economy is bad already, and now we have to buy a friggin $100 wireless adapter to get internet? (I cannot use a cord unfortunately). We also need to pay a subscription for LIVE. I have school as well, so 13 months (390 days) of subscription is like 156 days (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays) of subscription (NOT worth my $50!). Once I get a job I will not be able to spend enough time with the Xbox, so I do believe they should make it more affordable so I will enjoy it more during my school years. And not only that but the consoles are terrible in terms of life. I'm restricted to only 2 hours of play each day just to make sure it would live longer, because I know Microsoft charges to fix their own flaws (RROD) in the console. And damn, provide us something free now and then. We could use some free downloads or something, instead of paying $20 more for downloadable content :/ (and not to mention paying money to change your gamertag...lol good one Microsoft). I think Sony and Nintendo please consumers more. Nintendo, I love your services. You provide free Wifi and you have Club Nintendo (not to mention it's super affordable). And Sony is amazing for providing free internet connection. That means you don't have to pay $50 dollars every year. I know the PS3 is expensive, but it has its own built in wireless adapter! Microsoft, your games are awesome, but I respect you less for trying to take money from our pockets. I don't know if you are taking advantage of us or you think we're stupid, but you are a big company making so much money...would it kill to make things more affordable now and then? I may go to a PS3 if I don't see any improvements... I ranted alot about how much Xbox 360 stinks, so don't forget to actually answer the question: does Microsoft care?

Microsoft is a corporation and their main goal is to make money. they released their console way to early just to be the first to release their next gen console. instead of fully testing them. they nickel and dime people by charging for a wireless adapter that you can buy only from them and then subscription fee. they did extend their warranties to 3 and a half years but i know a few people who are going to get very frustrated when they find out that there systems warranty is up and they have to pay to get it fixed for the like 5th time. they console also has a problem with eating disks if you bump it while the disk is spinning. so no i highly doubt the corporation as a whole cares about the consumer.

They released a gaming console with a 100% failure rate. Does that sound like they care?

The only thing any corporation cares about is money. If they can make money while screwing their customers, they will.

They don't care about consumers, only the money that the consumers will spend on their products and fixes.
