Because of my bad credit i financed used car through the dealership, ran credit, and its not on there, ?

because of poor credit history i could not get a loan through a bank and had to have it financed through the used car dealership, ran my credit and its not on their, so all my timely payments and always paying more wont help my credit cuz its not on there, what the heck, so they dont report a large account with that much to credit agencies been paying on it for 14months now
