Should I sell my stuff on eBay...even though..? ?
Hi I work at a designer handbag store and I have one or two purses that I really just need to get rid of. I bought them both with my store discount. I learned that I could get in trouble if anyone in management found out if I were to sell one on eBay. I am not even planning to sell them for more than what I bought them for but I just really dont want them and I dont want to just give them away either. My idea was to put it on eBay and let people bid but then pull it off at the last minute and do a private transaction through PayPal. By the way I just did this with one of my other items. This should keep me out of trouble at work and allow me to sell the bags I dont want. What do you think?

Well ebay is a great tool and i buy designer purses all the time and use them for like 6 months to a year and sale them used on ebay and get all if not more money then i spent on them. It is great! I do this so that i can keep affording to buy new bags! I have had it back fire only once or twice when i set the starting bid too low and some cheap person bought it for way less than i wanted to sale it for. In this situation that you are talking about i really would not risk my job to sale a purse..... I think no matter what way you do it they could still find out just as easy and you could still loose your job..... I think that if you are going to stick them on ebay and sale them you should just let it go all the way through..... I mean either way what you are doing is not what they want you to do and it would be just as likely for them to find out either way. So i guess to answer your question.... I would not do it but if you are going to do it just go ahead and go threw with the entire process on ebay.

How about putting them up for sale on amazon.com or craigslist? Even if you sold the bags on ebay, they would have to jump through some hoops to find out who sold them. Also, if the serial numbers are legible there are people who purposely rub them out all the time. I'd suppose you could lie and say that you gave it away as a gift. But how would you feel about lying and putting on charades? If you need the money sell them any other way besides ebay. If you don't...don't.

That's against Ebay rules and can get both you and your buyer kicked off. Just put them up for auction. How will your management find out?

well putting any integrity or your conscious aside if i were you i would have a friend sell them for you that way your not putting yourself in a poor situation good luck
