Checking the status of the Capital One Personal Loan?
I just finished my application and I was told that I would hear from them in 7-10 business days. Are they going to e-mail me, or send me a letter? Is there any way to check the status online? Thanks. Does this definitely mean I wasn't approved..?

They are legally required to notify you by regular mail so expect a letter in 7-10 days. If you had applied for a credit card they would have told you on line if you were approved or not but personal loans are different.

I think legally, they have to inform you by regular mail. And sorry to offer bad news, but the "we'll be in touch within 7-10 days" generally means you didn't get the loan. From my experience, Capital One notifies you immediately online if you are approved. Did they give you an application number and phone number? You could call and ask about the status... I AGREE WITH THE OTHER POSTER,they'll usually tell you on-line if you were approved. i did a app for chase who i have a car loan with who said i was a preferred customer and was pre-approved for their freedom rewards card and that was last week and they said i'll hear from them in 7-10 days but i thought i was pre-approved BS BS BS BS BS ! i have great credit and is current on all bills and car loan with them and never late on any bills but yet i'll hear from them in 7- 10 days.BS BS BS BS BS BS !
