So if you move to another web hosting company, you lose that domain name If you want your own URL, $8.99 from Godaddy.com is extremely cheap. That's just 2 visits to Starbucks

.com .net .org Domains are not free, and most others arent are... or if they happen to be free - there are a lot of requirements that you need to fulfill to get it. Like in Estonia to get .ee you have to have a registered company is all. But .com .net .org arent expensive. Around 9 dollars a year. 0.75 cents per month. www.whois.net is a good site for looking for domains. It says which are available and so on.
