My ideal location for a security products business would be in los angeles, california. I would put it here or in another big metropolis (spelling :[ ) because of the high amount of taxi cab users, train/subway/bus users, bike riders and walkers. These are the people that need security products (Sprays, tasers, stun guns, etc). I would also sell online because there are business all across the country that need cameras and etc.

It depends on how you are doing business. If you have a brick and mortar storefront you need to do it certainly in a state where it is legal. If you do only internet sales it doesn't matter EXCEPT for doing any cash business which does happen. Laws run contrary to logic it seems. Logic would say that the best place would be where crime is the highest. Wash DC (until recently) Baltimore, Chicago, NJ. all outlaw stun guns-go figure. Hope that helps.
