Where can someone look to find a home for rent other than in the newspaper?

Question

I am looking for a house or Mobile home to rent that is located in or around Jonesboro Arkansas. I have been looking in the news paper and nothing I have found will work or they are already taken or the people that have them will not answer the phone. Does anyone have a house or a trailer that they are wanting to rent out that is around Jonesboro, Arkansas? We are expecting a new baby in October and we have a 2 year old, the only pets that we have is 2 guinea pigs (one is going to have babies but we are only keeping one of the babies, they will all be girls that we keep) We really need a place to move soon, needs to be at least 2 bedrooms because right now we have to have our son sleep in the same room as us. We can pay up to $450 a month in rent, but really are looking for something around $400 or below. If anyone knows of anywhere that is around Jonesboro or around Corning or north of Corning even would be ok for us. Thank you everyone. Please no stupid remarks, thank you.

There are lots of resources online! Go to craigslist.com and click on Arkansas, then Jonesboro. Next, click housing then specify what you're searching for. Also, look up the names of property management corporations in your area (yellow pages or online). Then, google the *names* of the companies. Most of them have websites where they will first list rental properties that have come available. Just make sure you are looking at available rentals because some prop management co's have stuff that's for sale too. This gives you a big advantage on other ppl searching for places to rent because you can often find a place before everyone else knows its up for grabs. Also, looking at the bulletin boards/community boards at stores, gyms, supermarkets, and community centers in the area you are hoping to find a place will sometimes have listings on the board. Lastly, I have sometimes found independent companies online who will create listings for rentals in various cities as well. I found these by googling my city and state name along with the words "rentals" and sometimes "property for rent".
