Question

I want to set up a website and I don't want to pay for it- how do I do this?

Most sites that help you set up webpages for free charge you after a month- I don't mind paying a little bit of money for a domain name but don't want to pay a recurring fee for the my site. Any suggestions?

If you're from the UK I recommend www ... They are one of the leading European hosting companies (hosting over 500 000 websites), and they currently have a promotion in the UK. They are offering free hosting and a domain (I think you have to pay about €10 setup fee and that's it). This way you get hosting and a domain for a price of a domain. Every plan includes Photo Gallery, WebEditor (so you can build a website without knowledge of HTML), Google Adwords coupon (so you can advertise your website on google for free) and a lot more. Check them out. P.S. They are running this promotion in UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and India so if you're from one of these countries you can get really cheap web hosting.

many websites, one i have used is moonfruit.com which have free websites which are easy to make using set templates etc already on the site, so you don't have to understand html coding which makes it so much easier to set up. They are often only free due to them having other adverts on them and if you want to not have adverts you have to pay a small fee. I use to pay £2.99 a month. They are cheap and easy to use but the only bad thing about them is the website title ends in moonfruit.com or freewebs.com or whatever the site you use is called.

go to a free web hoster, like frewebs, awardspace. Learn html. go to dot.tk or freedomain.co.nr and get a free subdomain name.

The best option is to sign up with freehostia.com. You need to spend 9.95 for a domain name but you get your free hosting - including PHP and MySQL server database. They also host wordpress for your hosting needs.

You can register and make your website at www.freewebs.com. In www.freewebs.com youcan only have it like this www.freewebs.com/example. Then go to this website www.dot.tk and then you make your website like this www.example.tk. But there will be a banner on the top.

There ae loads of free hosting and as you say the domain name is virtually free. But most free hosting is rubbish as are most free things. Buy a server and host your own website
