Question

i need financial help! im in debt!?

i owe a lot of money to my credit card company. since january i joined credit solutions so that i could get out of debt. it seemed like a good company to trust. however now were basically in the same situation, we get a lot of phone calls of collection even though Credit Solution told us they would take care of that. recently we got a letter telling us to pay a certain amount or they would sell or info to 3rd parties or they would take legal action. again Credit Solution told us not to worry. today my credit card company (FIA Card Service) took $220 from my bank account without my permission. i called my bank and they told me they were going to give me my money back. BUT should i really trust credit solutions or should i do something else HELP!!!

I'm in the EXACT same situation as you. I'm going through Credit Solutions also. And one of my cards in their program is FIA Card Services. They are nasty nasty nasty. They will call you 1000 times a day. Did you sent them the cease verbal communication letter from credit solution's website? do that. whatever you do, do not talk to them. If you choose to answer the phone, tell them this account is being handled by a settlement company and give them the number to Credit Solutions. They will probably send your account to a 3rd party. Mine went to one called Creditors Interchange. They are nasty too. They were talking to me like they were going to sue me or something. From what I've heard that's all a scare tactic. If and when they send you any kind of letters or anything, send it right to Credit Solutions. Fax it to them. They will contact the 3rd party and tell them not to call you. Then at some point, they'll offer Credit Solutions a settlement. Credit Solutions with contact you with the settlement info and you can accept or deny. I already got offered one with the 3rd party creditor for my FIA Card services account. However, I wasn't able to accomodate it, so I denied it. I owe 2700, they wanted to settle for 1600...which is great. but they wanted it by the end of august and I just dont have it right now. So I let credit solutions know and they let the 3rd party know I couldn't do it. In a couple months or when I get enough in my account, we will try again for a settlement. Basically what I'm saying is, try not to let them scare you. I've seen mixed reviews about credit solutions. But they seem to be working for me so far. And make sure you don't talk to your creditors at all. Let credit solutions do the talking...that's what you are paying them for! I know it's frustrating. The whole debt thing is. It's just really better to remember "this too shall pass" and everything will be all over at some point! GOOD LUCK!

That does not sound right. Usually when you join a service like that, they do take care of it. If you continue to recieve calls from them, tell them to contact Credit Solution direct. You can check out National Foundation for Credit Counseling at 800-388-2227
