Nonprofit Help... Donations/Sponsorships/Getting Started?

I want to start a nonprofit. We have been established for about a year, and we have decided to take the next step. We have all of the forms ready; however, we dont have the money for IRS fees for filing for 501c3 status. We also need $100 for TN filing. We have contacted SEVERAL local businesses for help, but no one will donate because we arent a registered nonprofit. Any ideas? Any help?..... PLEASE and THANK YOU!!

We did a fund raiser, several actually. People spending 50 cents or a dollar on a cookie don't care about making it deductible but corporations need to justify and prove to the IRS in order to write off the full amount you might need. Put out coffee cans, try the national organization you might be linked to and take it small donations at a time. Good luck! Holler if I can help. Lea leadavis.com
