Does a nonprofit Corporation have stock? Where does it come from?
We are preparing for the organizational meeting of our new nonprofit corporation. We just realized that we may have forgotten about stock certificates. Are stock certificates necessary? Where do they come from? Can I make it myself? Do we have to have it before the organizational meeting?

No worries - a nonprofit does not have or issue stock. It's probably the main distinction between a nonprofit and for-profit corporation.
