Question

EBAY, is there an alternative yet? will there ever be one???

has anyone found a suitable alternative to ebay yet? I know many have tried and many have fallen, but I keep hoping that ONE day one will withstand and give them a run for their money. I have already taken a look at onlineauction.com, ebid.net, ubid, ebid, and most end with no bids. Thats not what I am looking for! I want something that really competes with ebay. Darnit if I could build a website I SO would do it, theres a lot of good sellers/buyers who are sick of ebay! I have looked at google ( I forgot their specific name for their sales site ) and it looked ok, but its more like craigs list, just listings, not auctions. I have also looked at amazon, but again, its geared more for new items, with sku's and barcodes, not your everyday clothing, vintage, and jewelry! ANY ideas anyone?? And am I the only one that is looking for a new auction home??

Well Ebid and ubid are probably the best at the moment. You really need to get an idea of what type of things sell best on each site so Auction Alfie is a good tool for that: www ... That way you can give yourself the best chance of selling something....
