Despite the "consultant" title, this is very likely a sales job and a very high-pressure one at that. People will be coming in, often to take advantage of some "introductory offer" or "free trial", and your job will be to sell them on signing up for a long-term membership. You will likely be paid largely on the number of people you sell, and if you don't sell enough, you will soon be looking for another job. Like any high-pressure sales job, it can be very profitable if you are good at it -- but very few people are. Good luck!

Sounds like they're the sales person to get people to sign membership agreements. So likely you would be giving prospects tours, maybe introducing them to the staff, doing physical-condition assessments, all the while describing the different programs and perks the gym offers. Kind of like a real estate agent.
