At IBM all consultants have 2080 per year...essentially 40 hours a week for 52 weeks. If the client contract allows you can bill more than 40 per week...or you actually cannot even take your paid vacation! We were competitive with the big 8 consulting groups. I had no problem working 60-80 hours per week. (retired IBMer, 17 years)
