either word of mouth from freinds or I would check with a local business association. Their tradesmen are usually more expensive but far more reliable.. I wouldn't recommend the random internet search approach..toomany dodgy tradespeople out there... posted an example of a plasterers trade association

It depends on what you want to get. Whatever it is, look that product up on the internet, find its' company's website, and it should have a link that leads to "representatives" in the area. Good luck with your searching.

Most go to associations, chambers of commerce, better business burearu, and social networks that are popular. Many associations have websites with directories of tradesperson. I think the most important advertising for tradespersons is word of month. You need to not only do a good job but get people to offer references and talk about you to others.
