Question about amended tax return?

Just wondering if anyone can help me with this. My husband and I had to do an amended tax return because our daughter was born in December of '07 and we were waiting on her ss card to come back. We got it back and sent out the papers for the amendment in the beginning of March. They said to expect the check in 8-12 weeks. My question is will it come directly to us via the mail, or will it go to H&R Block, which is who we did our taxes through. Also I'm trying to figure out when it will get here. We're also still waiting on the amended state check to come back. Anyone have any idea when we can expect that one? any input here will be very helpful and very much appreciated. Thank you!
