Figure out who your customers are and how many of them are in your area...ATV/MX, I'm assuming men age 18-30 making $25,000+ per year w/in a 10-15 mile radius of your store? 2. Figure out who your competitors are within twice that radius. 3. Determine your sources of competitive advantage against each of them: Price? Location? Service? Better advertising? 4. Determine what you need for your store, where you'll get it and what it'll cost. Rent, Utilities, Phone/Internet, Advertising, Staffing (multiply wages by 1.12 to factor in unemployment, w.comp, etc.), Insurance (property, w. comp, general liability), travel, maintenance (snow removal, landscaping, general upkeep, etc.) 5. On a monthly basis, figure out your projected gross sales - cost of goods sold - variable expenses (utilities, advertising, etc.) - fixed expenses (insurance, rent, internet, etc.) to determine your monthly and annual net revenue. If it's acceptably profitable to you, you're ready to move forward. There's a ton of other stuff: getting a line of credit to buy inventory, satisfying manufacturer requirements re: servicing their products, finding the right rental property and rennovating it for your needs, etc., but that's the "big picture" look at starting this type of business.

a; do what I did; go to the library and pick up 2-3 books on your own small biz; librarians can help. b; your local community college has a small biz class==take it. the us small biz admin has a web site with free templates for biz plans fill one out send me a copy of it I will give you 2 hours free.

you need to get a job to you like that's tempry and make sure it pays good,but don't ask your emplomer that at the interview,put money in the bank in secret account that only the people that you know that you have it,make sure your credit score is good before you get a loan,#1 make sure you can pay the loans or loan back,you need to buy your stuff for the store wholesale,but it has to be new,if you want to build you store from the ground up your going to need to find them on the internet by looking professinal builders,things that have the name in it or in the yellowpages,your going to have take big loan out for that,saving and spending your money in what you'll be doing,after the take that big loan in take about 6 monthes to build or 3 monthes in just depends on the workers,i would have them working on it every day you can,when is its finished you will have to put everything inside it the way you want it,oh yes you have to get to do pluming for the bathroom for you,and the eletricion will do all the wiring things,you need advertize to company as well on tv,ps. you may that job or jobs to pay a lot like $25 dollars an hour,realize you may have to a job that you hate to do this dream of yours!
