Why does Corporate America HYPE with "feel-good" words?

The failed Yahoo takeover by Microsoft caused this statement to be said by Microsoft: "We have a talented team in place and a compelling plan to grow our business through innovative new services and strategic transactions with other business partners," Ballmer said. "While Yahoo would have accelerated our strategy, I am confident that we can continue to move forward toward our goals." Everyone knows he is NOT "confident." Microsoft had forever to turn around their search engine portal and have failed miserably. They are a complete joke in the Internet world and only thing going for them is the IE Browser. Although almost every computer is sold with MSN users never select it as their default engine. Even AOL's search engine gets almost as many hits as MSN. It's not a complaint specifically about Microsoft, it is about the con game these big corporations try to portray. Look at the HYPE words: Talented team compelling plan innovative new services strategic transactions business partners When you see those terms and especially together that means LIE. LOL! It's simple, Yahoo didn't blink. MSN has been going downhill for a long time and will probably continue to fail. This isn't good for Microsoft investors as MS needs to get a footing in the Internet world. When you have Open Office taking away one of their premiere products, the writing is on the wall... home and business software isn't what is going to keep MS floating. It's the future and while they were unable to create the future (I think mainly based on their name) they have tons of cash to buy what will make it work and they are going to turn around and sit on that cash as technology passes them by. The comment sounds like IBM when they were the leader and kept boasting themselves as the biggest and best because they always were. Then let the little guy pull the rug out from under them thinking "sound good" phrases will cause them to endure.
