Northern and Southern jobs?

I plan on moving to Illinois from Florida. Do people in northern states tend to make more money than people in southern ones? If so then by how much?

I am from SD and now live in NC. I made more in SD for the same job, BUT the cost of living in SD is much higher. contact the better business bearu in the area of FL you are moving to. they can usually provide you a lot of good info on these items

I think northern jobs pay more only to allow for the difference in the cost of living. The cost of living is way cheaper in the south. This site will allow you to see how much you need to make to compare to your current standard of living. cgi ...
