Question
s-corp vs c-corp?
I will be starting a host of e-businesses under one main corporation. I will be the only person employed by the corporation, I will handle taking photos, filming video clips, editing video clips, web design, shipping orders, and customer support. The models that will be featured on the site will be hired as independent contractors. All of the sites will be selling photos and video clips. Which corporate status will be best for my situation, a s-corp or a c-corp?

i think an s-corp would be better since you will avoid being double taxed. A s-corp's profits and losses pass through to the members and are not taxed at both levels. I also i hear that the s-corp taxes are simpler and that running a s-corp is easier for a one person corporation

An s-corp allow you to pass the business earnings through to your personal taxes, avoiding the double taxation that can happen with a c-corp. You might want to consider a sole member Limited Liability Company (LLC). which would further simplify your operation without sacrificing the liability protection associated with a corporation.
