If you need money, you will need to apply for a loan. No lender will talk to you unless you provide them with a valid business plan. Go to www ... , www ... or www ... for sample business plans and instructions on how to write a business plan. Then, go to www ... and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor to review your business plan and discuss various loan options available to you as well as veteran programs. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.

Before apply anytype of loan, you need to get the business plan together, and do some research on the expenses, such as rent, insurance and employee salary, so you can put in the business plan. Because it has a projection that you need to do so you can get the money returned.

As a vet, you have some preferred access to government related projects when you start a business. For a quick look try the www ... Be sure to dial in your status as a veteran. Many government opportunties are "set aside" specifically for veterans. Also, many regular corporations (usually just the big ones) have special programs to purchase from veterans (and others such as women or minorities.) Your status can be a very valauble asset. The website provided also has lots of information on special programs and instructions for veterans to help them with programs such as loans/assistance. There is way too much up there so check it out!
