Hello Would like more information from those of you who already do the childrens consignment sales. Do I need a businees license and sales tax number to hold a sale? We are in the state of Maryland.

It really depends on how you are going to do the sale. If you will start your own store, then you definitely need your own business license and sales tax number. But if you are just going to sell your items to a consignment sale, with the store doing the sale for you, then you may not need a license.
