Question
what type of business lawyer do I need?
and where can I find one? I sell a wonderful, healthy, and unpasteurized smoothie at farmers markets. The GM at a large health food franchise store is interested however it's illegal to wholesale an unpasturized smoothie. The loophole being if it's processed onsite. Problem with that is this GM (and his Ins. Co. I'm sure) can't accept the liability of an independent contractor working in their store even if I have my own insurance, which there currently is no insurance for. My idea is make me an employee and I recieve a bonus for every bottle. However they would would obviously then "own" the recipe and name. Initially no problem but I'm certain this product will start exploding and this pilot program will expand into all their stores. I need a contact drawn up to protect me and my "percentage". BTW I would not consider pasturizing as this dramaticly comprimises the nutrition. Thanks so much for any insight!
